Jesuit Takes Metro Title 5th Year Running,
Downing CB
by Peter Fotopoulos '99
The Varsity Soccer team played against Christian Brothers
this afternoon, October 29, 1998, for the metro league championship. The game was a war. Both teams wanted to win badly. Early in the season Jesuit tied CB at home and were now looking to fix that mistake with a win on CB's home field. Early in the first half Phil Harr put one pass the keeper
for a 1-0 lead that would go through the half. With the beginning of the second half, the Marauders knew that they needed to come out in the with the same intensity they had in the first half. With Captain Matt Lefevre '99 and Veteran Richard Harr '99, the defense kept the shut out and the Jesuit
Marauders won the game, taking the Metro Title for the fifth year running.
The Team is looking to defend the section title from last year and bring it home to Jesuit. The first Round Match will be against El Camino at Jesuit next Friday.
